About Me

Sharon tells all...

I am a native of Maine; born in Bath in my grandmother's house.

I retired in 1995 from Bath Iron Works, a Naval shipbuilding company, after working 17 years in the data entry department. Before BIW (Bath Iron Works) I worked in the medical field and after retirement I worked for a local mental health agency transcribing from home; it was a cushy job and I loved it.

I am the mother of four wonderful children (they weren't always); two daughters and twin sons. It's funny now that they're all grown up, I forget about the difficult times and only remember the good ones. I've been blessed with three granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.

In 2001, I reconnected with my high school steady, Bud, who was a widower.  We were married in 2002 at Popham Beach, Maine, our little piece of heaven here on earth.

In 2005, Bud and I moved to Florida and to the ever-popular retirement community, The Villages. We lived there for ten years and in March of 2015, we sold our house, bought another smaller home and relocated to the lovely retirement community, Continental Country Club. It's been a good move for us. We have great neighbors and still enjoy our friends in The Villages which is only a short drive away.

We lost our beloved Scottish Terrier in 2014. I'd never lived without a pet before, so several months later we adopted our beautiful, chocolate lab, Sadie. She just turned nine years old and is the sweetest girl ever.

I'm a member of the Red Hat Society and founding Queen of The Sunset Pointer Sisters. I belong to several writing groups such as The Write Corner, Florida Writer's Association, Writers League of The Villages, and Romance Writers of America, and The Breakfast Club. I plan to join a few groups here in Continental, but for now writing is my priority.

Life for me is very good indeed!
